You ARE the jewel of the Lotus
Join Ruth Ingram and Rosie Mulford for their inaugural “R and R Retreat.” Rosie and Ruth have been teaching together since 2017 at The Asheville Yoga Center. Together they have 63 years of teaching experience. One of the points these two teachers initially connected on was that they don't take themselves too seriously yet they honor the sacredness of Yoga. Both have a deep committed love for the practice but teach from the heart with humor, silliness and joy! Each retreat attendee will get individual attention from both of these seasoned teachers. This will be a retreat full of asana, pranayama, meditation, story telling, hiking, fellowship, self-discovery, and more!
Retreat participants will enjoy a weekend of relaxation and fun, while Ruth and Rosie take care of the rest. Enjoy waterfront time, games, campfires, singalongs, a wide range of yoga offerings including evening practice Friday and Saturday, as well as morning and afternoon practice Saturday and Sunday. Rosie and Ruth will also be offering a workshop taking a deep dive into advanced poses, sound healing and yoga nidra. There will also be a professional photographer helping to capture the magic of the weekend. All meals and snacks are included(alcohol will not be served you can BYOB.) The yoga practices will happen in one main space that you will have access to all weekend.
As a guest you have access to all Lake Logan has to offer including access to Lake Logan’s Lake, boats, lake fishing and hiking trails.
Take time out of your life to relax, pause, reflect, and connect with like minded yogis.

In 1974, Rosie took her first yoga class in Coconut Grove, Florida. Her instructor was Eve Diskin-then the Director of the American Institute of Yoga. During college and for a short time after, Rosie concentrated on her ballet studies, incorporating her yogic knowledge into her ballet exercises. For the next ten years, she began an intense practice incorporating Bikram and The Barkan Method under the guidance of Jimmy Barkan in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Rosie is certified in pre-natal yoga, Vinyasa Flow yoga, Children’s Yoga,Y12SR, and has her 500-hour ERYT from Yoga Alliance. Her passion lately is teaching the ways in which combining Yoga with the 12 Steps of AA can offer a freedom from addictions in life- after all, we are each addicted to something! Rosie likes to mimic the challenges we face in real life on the mat, practicing how to share compassion and kindness in everything we do. Rosie teachers weekly classes at The Asheville Yoga Center and is currently on the teacher training staff in the 200- and 300-hour program. She is a beloved teacher who makes each student who comes to her class feel welcomed, seen and loved. Her immense wisdom of the body, alignment and sequencing challenge even the most experienced yoga practitioners. Her in depth study of yoga philosophy she teaches in a digestible, fun way.
